Sidney E. Montgomery
owns and operates General Moving
Company, Inc. of Memphis, Tennessee. Mr.
Montgomery founded the company in 1987,
after 20 years of experience as a
professional mover. Since its founding,
General Moving Company has grown
steadily to a fleet of 20 trucks with 19
employees. This growth record has come
about as a result of the rapid,
efficient service General Moving Company
provides for all of its customers,
whether they are families or commercial
establishments.

Capacity
- Facility Size & Capacity
- The company operates from two locations in the
midtown area of Memphis. There is a combined warehouse
at the two locations of 28,000 square feet to meet our
customer demands.
Staffing
The organizational staff consists of a President, Secretary,
General Manager, two Assistant Managers and one Office
Manager.
Previous Contracts with Large Corporations
U.S. Department of Agriculture and the State of Tennessee.
Bonding, Licensing & Insurance
We are currently not bonded for a performance bond at this
time, but we are licensed and insured. We take personal
pride in our work and expect all of our employees to do
likewise. In fact, we instruct them to handle customers
possessions as thought they were their own. General Moving
Company is a member of the Better Business Bureau and is
enrolled in it's "Care" program, which gives you extra
assurance that your claims, if any will be handled quickly
and fairly.
